2007 FUNDRAISERS
2007 was the 5th year of GNG Patriots football program and the introduction of a 5th and 6th grade youth team. The Patriot Grandstand Club again expected about the same number of players to register to play for the High School and Middle School teams, but were unsure of how many players were expected to sign up for the youth league program. The registration fees for HS/MS remained the same with a $100.00 registration fee for youth league players.
The Youth League games added to transportation and referee costs. Coach Bowen is looking to add 4th graders to the youth program next year.
The club again needed to purchase some additional equipment this year.

2006 FUNDRAISERS
2006 was the 4th year of GNG Patriots football program and the second year as a Varsity team. The Patriot Grandstand Club expected about the same number of players to register to play. The registration fees for Middle School remained at $135.00, but the cost of High School registration increased to $150.00 since the High School football program is more expensive to run than at the Middle School level. Even after registration fees, the Club still needed to raise over $18,000.00 this year to continue the program.
Three 7th grade games were added to the 2006 schedule, adding to transportation and referee costs. Coach Bowen is looking to start a 6th grade team, expanding our program. The club hopes to eventually offer football to players as young as 2nd grade and create an excellent feeder program for the Middle and High school programs.
The club needed to purchase additional equipment as a larger number of players signed up than was originally anticipated, and we do not want to turn any interested players away.

2005 FUNDRAISERS
After playing 2 years of Middle School and Junior Varsity football, 2005 was the first year that the Gray - New Gloucester Patriots Football Program entered in the Western Maine Class B Campbell Conference with a Varsity football team. The Patriot Grandstand Club boosters now had three teams to support with uniforms, paying referees, coaches, equipment, etc. The annual operating costs for the three teams are approximately $30,000.00 per year now.
The Patriot Grandstand Club held their 2nd annual Ice Fishing Derby on Upper and Lower Range Ponds and their 3rd Annual Fall Classic Golf Tournament at Rivermeadow Golf Club in Westbrook. Selling ad space for the holes and tees was not quite as successful as the 2 previous years, being held closer to Portland, but the registration fees were lowered to $65.00 per player and the Club made $40.00 from each registered foursome or $15.00 from each single player. In the two previous golf tournaments held at Fox Ridge and Spring Meadows, the registration fee was $75.00 per player and the golf courses kept all of the $75.00 per player registration fees; The Patriot Grandstand Club made money from those previous golf tournaments solely through hole and tee ads.
The student athletes were not asked to fundraise this year so the Club added a Hunter's Breakfast, a used cell phone and empty ink cartridge recycling program, sold season game passes to their varsity games to their other fundraising activities, and continued to sell spirit items at games, the ongoing bottle drive at the Bottle Barn, selling ads in the game day program, player's portraits and holding 50/50 raffles.
